USPS TAKES ANOTHER SNOW DAY

To my fellow Mid-Atlantictonians, did you try to shovel your snow this week?  Well, it looks like snow, but it’s just white ice.  So maybe you chopped it, but it was too much to shovel.  As frigid air hung over much of the country, the Postal Service had to deal with this “Snowcrete” too.  It slowed service to impacted areas.  There were no definitive hot spots – it’s easy to see that those areas with the worst weather got the worst service.  Those poor folks in the Central Area got the worst of it as usual.  So, we’ll sign one more snow day excuse slip, Mr. USPS, but we expect to see better next week.

If it is any consolation, and it should be, service for the same week last year was much worse in most categories, so the improving YOY trend continues.  This mess is supposed to start meting this week, so let’s keep that trend going!
