A GREAT WEEK FOR USPS SERVICE PERFORMANCE
Whoa! Where did that come from? After a terrible week in our last traffic report, the Postal Service turns in a great week. There was a holiday last Monday, and that always helps a bit, but this week’s performance is among the best we’ve seen in the past year. Is it a fluke? Yeah, possibly, it seems unlikely that performance would be turned around in a week, but what a week it was.
USPS already has a “get out of jail free” card for this week with the massive weather system that came through. Last February was one of the worst for delivery we’ve seen – the nadir of the DeJoy slowdown. Let’s hope we are on a new path this year.
