FIRST-CLASS LETTER ON-TIME PERCENTAGE IMPROVE FROM 85.2% TO 85.3%
OK, we try to find positive things to put in the headline. 85.3% is definitely a larger percentage than 85.2%, so there you negative nabobs out there. Of course, it is still nearly 10% shy of the stated goal of 95% on time, and about 4% below the YTD average for First-Class letters. Simple arithmetic tells us that the YTD average is being pulled down every week, so if you can’t rise to the YTD, bring the YTD down to you. There are so many fun things you can do with statistics!
More than two out of three First-Class flats were on time, which is better than you’re going to do on blackjack, so there’s that.
Marketing Mail continues to be excellent, with 98% (!) of Marketing Mail letters delivered on time. Marketing Mail flats were down to just over 90% on time with very heavy volume, most of it being delivered to my house and we have a steep driveway.
Total sample size for the week: 41,643,685 pieces.
