US MAIL TRAFFIC REPORT JUNE 5, 2023
June 5, 2023   Dave Lewis

ANOTHER IMPRESSIVE WEEK, WITH AVERAGES NEAR OR ABOVE PMG GOALS (WITH A NOTE)

For the second week all categories of mail performed very well, including those dreaded First-Class flats.  We always like to dig into anomalous results, good or bad, and did notice something odd among First-Class flats:  Our volume in measurement has been dropping steadily for the past year.  Our client mix has not changed significantly in that time, and all other categories have shown growth.  With the removal of FSS, have First-Class flats basically just fallen out of measurement?  It makes sense that with their lower density they would have been scanned more at a piece level.  We’ll keep digging.

In the meanwhile, enjoy the results!  Go mail something!
