GREAT WEEK AT THE RIGHT TIME! SHAKE YOUR CARRIER’S HAND – OR BUMP ELBOWS, BETTER STILL
It’s nice to see a great performance week at such an important time – it’s mailing season! We have seen weekly scan volume – the number of raw Informed Visibility scans we get – grow every week since mid-August, usually a strong indicator of increased mail volume overall.
First-Class performance was stronger for letters and flats, both in terms of on-time percentage and Average Delivery Days. Marketing Mail letters and flats were, well, flat. Which is OK given volume.
Mostly, we are happy not to see any trending toward worse performance – we’re all about trends. The next eight weeks may be the most critical to watch of the year, particularly with network changes getting their first tests.
But, for this week, we’re all smiles.
