FIRST-CLASS SERVICE SETTLES INTO A PATTERN OF “MEH”.  MARKETING MAIL REMAINS MUCH MORE CONSISTENT

It must be summer.  Postal delivery service has settled into a pattern of not good, not terrible, with First-Class letters hovering around 90% on time, and First-Class flats at 66% on time which fits in their recent pattern of being all over the place in terms of delivery.  Average days to delivery for First-Class flats do seem to be increasing, a bit of a troubling sign.

Marketing Mail is definitely the better deal these days, with very consistent delivery.  The key difference between the classes of mail is that First-Class Mail is much more reliant on postal transportation, which may raise some concerns over the impact of expanding network changes.

Still, it’s summer and the living is easy…and volume is low.
