USPS HAS A GREAT WEEK
We can’t say why, but service performance in every category we measure was far above the YTD averages. This comes out of the blue after months of mediocre performance. We dug down to look for clues, anomalies, and found nothing special, just a great performance week. The only weakness was First-Class flats in the Central Area. Those darn flats.
We are inherently skeptical of sudden great weeks that are not part of a trend. Give us a few weeks like this, and maybe we can call it a trend. Still, we’ll settle for a good week anytime.
